In speaking with my school teacher wife, we both felt that creativity and learning are essentially activities that bring about something of value that was not present before. Creativity and learning are closely related. Creation is reorganizing and rearranging in new configurations. Learning is rearranging perspectives and reorganizing mental models to see new possibilities. New horizons are reached with both and we catch a glimpse of our true identity and potential. Problem solving gives the impetus for creativity and learning. Often, the constraints or conditions in which we operate insist that we be creative and learn to find a desired solution.
